Dr. Simone Philippi (geb. 1964) studierte Kunstgeschichte, Publizistik und Germanistik in Bochum und Köln. 1989 Magisterarbeit über Constantin Brancusis Skulpturenensemble in Tirgu Jiu. 2005 Dissertation zum Thema Internationalisierungskonzepte deutscher Kunstbuchverlage seit 1990. Nach beruflichen Stationen in einem Sachbuch- und einem Zeitschriftenverlag ist sie seit 1992 als Lektorin und seit 1997 als Managing Editor beim Kölner Kunstbuchverlag TASCHEN tätig und betreut dort Titel zu Fotografiegeschichte, Kunst und Mode und Design.

With work experience in non-fiction and magazine publishing, she has been editor (since 1992) and managing editor (since 1997) with the Cologne-based publisher TASCHEN, where she is responsible for photography, art, fashion and design titles.
